
Riders Sign Defensive Lineman Jonathan Williams

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today international defensive lineman Jonathan Williams has signed with the team. As per club policy details of the contract were not disclosed.
Williams (6'2 - 282) joins the Green and White for his fifth season in the CFL. The 30-year-old Georgia native played one game for the B.C. Lions in 2009 before spending the next three seasons in the Arena Football League.
Williams returned to the CFL, spending one year with the Toronto Argonauts before being selected by the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2013 expansion draft.
Through his first four seasons, Williams has played 29 career games, with 23 starts, registering 49 defensive tackles, seven quarterback sacks, six tackles for loss, and one interception that he returned 35-yards for a touchdown.
- The Riders also announced the release of international wide receiver Shay Hodge.
