
Riders Add Two to Practice Roster

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today the signing of two players. Import linebacker Brian Peters and Non-Import receiver Evan Fornwald have been added to the team's practice roster. Financial details of the agreements were not released.
Peters (6'3 - 218) joins the Riders as a free agent out of Northwestern University. The 23-year old and Academic All-Big 10 honoree appeared in 52 games for the Wildcats while making 34 career starts. During his four-year tenure at Northwestern, Peters finished his collegiate career with a school record 301 tackles while adding 12 interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Fornwald (6'2 - 200) comes to the Riders after most recently spending time with the University of Regina. The two-sport athlete and Regina native was a member of the football team while also spending time with the men's volleyball team during his collegiate career.
