Richmond Kickers Announce Paws On The Pitch SPCA Night July 24th

The Richmond Kickers return home to the familiar atmosphere of City Stadium on Saturday, July 24th to host SPCA Paws on the Pitch and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring their four legged companions along with them for a night of fun and professional soccer. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a complimentary Richmond SPCA tote bag. Discounted tickets are available in advance at RichmondKickers.com.

"We are delighted to return to City Stadium for another wonderful, pet-friendly night of professional soccer with the Richmond Kickers, said Robin Robertson Starr, CEO of the Richmond SPCA. "Dog lovers in Richmond are lucky to have the Kickers provide them with this great opportunity for a fun evening in the company of their four-footed best friends. We also hope to place many deserving dogs and cats in new homes during the game."

The Richmond SPCA Tail Wag'N adoption vehicle will be in attendance, seeking to match homeless pets with new adopters. Fees for all pets adopted at the game will be discounted. Vendors in attendance will include Holiday Barn Pet Resorts, Bikram Yoga, Kristie Bradley Photography, Doody Calls, Family Dog Digest and more. Professional photographer Kristie Bradley of the Lee Davis Paws for a Cause organization will be present to take photos of pets, which will be available for purchase through donations to the Richmond SPCA.

Founded in 1981, the Richmond SPCA is a non-profit, no-kill humane organization dedicated to the principle that every life is precious. As a national leader in humane education and care, the Richmond SPCA is aggressively tackling the problem of pet overpopulation through adoption, rehabilitation and spay/neuter. The organization saves the lives of 3,000 homeless animals each year and cares for approximately 350 cats and dogs daily.
