Richmond, VAâ The Richmond Kickers (9-4-3, 30 points) suffered a 2-0 loss to the Syracuse Salty Dogs (5-7-3, 18 points) after a pair of back-to-back goals late in the second half. Despite out-shooting the Salty Dogs 14-8, the Kickers were unable to recover after costly errors resulted in two goals for Syracuse.
A scoreless first half led to a Syracuse corner kick by midfielder Ian Woan in the 72nd minute where forward Anthony Maher was able to find the back of the net. Syracuse newcomer Attila Vendegh followed up five minutes later with the second and final goal of the night.
