Clearwater, Fla. - The Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period August 17 - August 23, 2015 were announced today by the Florida State League.
The Player of the Week was Clearwater Threshers Infielder Rhys Hoskins. He played in seven (7) games and collected 9 hits in 28 plate appearances for a .321 batting average. He had four (4) doubles, one (1) triple, and two (2) homeruns. Rhys scored ten (10) times with ten (10) RBI's. His OBP was .367 and slugging percentage was .750.
Hoskins is in his second year of professional baseball and he lives in Sacramento, CA. He was promoted from Class-A Lakewood on June 25.
