RHP Colby Lewis to Begin Rehab Assignment with Express; OF Hirotoshi Onaka Added to Roster

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced today that RHP Colby Lewis will begin a rehab assignment with the Round Rock Express tonight against the Las Vegas 51's (New York-NL) at Cashman Field.
Lewis is rehabbing from elbow surgery he had back in June. He made one rehab appearance in an extended-spring-training game on Saturday, throwing 27 pitches.
Additionally, OF Hirotoshi Onaka will join the Express from extended spring training. Onaka split 2012 between Spokane (Class-A) and Hickory (Advanced-A), batting a combined .302 (29-96).
With these moves, Round Rock's roster sits at 25 active players with three on the disabled list and one Major League rehab assignment.
The Express continues an eight-game road trip tonight with game three of four at Las Vegas before traveling to Tucson to face the San Diego Padres Triple-A affiliate for four games.
