Memphis Redbirds News Release
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds are proud to announce that AutoZone Park will host the Americanarama Festival of Music on Tuesday, July 2, headlined by music legend Bob Dylan & His Band and joined by Wilco, My Morning Jacket, and The Richard Thompson Electric Trio.
"We are very proud to play host to the Americanarama Festival of Music tour," said Memphis Redbirds General Manager Ben Weiss. "The versatility of our stadium will be on full display when these acts hit the stage. To have AutoZone Park filled with the music of this incredible lineup will certainly make this a special night in downtown Memphis."
Dylan has won 11 Grammy Awards, one Academy Award, one Golden Globe Award, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His band has released 35 studio albums, including his latest Tempest, since inception in 1962.
The concert, presented by Jam Productions, will mark the fourth on-field concert that AutoZone Park has hosted, and first since the highly successful Dave Matthews Band and Willie Nelson performances during the summer of 2008. Dylan and Nelson performed the first on-field concert at AutoZone Park in 2005.
AutoZone Park is home to more than 130 events each year, including Memphis Brewfest, AutoZone Family Day, movie screenings, and countless corporate meetings and outings. The unique outdoor experience makes it ideal for large concerts and festivals as a downtown Memphis attraction.
Tickets are available for purchase beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 through the Redbirds ticket office at AutoZone Park, by calling (901) 721-6000, or online at www.memphisredbirds.com.
All seating is General Admission and priced at $65.50. Show time begins at 5:30 p.m. and gates open at 4:30 p.m.
