The Tampa Bay Rowdies are coming off a 1-1 draw against North Carolina FC in the Tar Heel State. Tampa Bay's lone goal came in the 63rd minute when an own goal was scored by North Carolina's Mikey Maldonado. North Carolina forward Rafael Mentzingen tied things up in the 75th minute off a right-footed shot in the center of the box. On the opposite side of the pitch, Rhode Island FC travels into Florida on the heels of a 2-2 draw against Monterey Bay F.C. in the club's inaugural away match. Albert Dikwa "Chico" delivered the first goal and first brace in RIFC history, earning him a spot on the USL Championship Team of the Week. Head Coach and General Manager Kahno Smith has been preparing his team for the challenging Eastern Conference showdown and recently added to his defensive core with the signing of Collin Smith. Both clubs enter the match undefeated and will be looking for their first win of the season.
