El Paso Rhinos News Release
Rhinos played host to the Warriors this weekend as we start the first half of a two game series. Rhinos are up first on the board as Tory Lund is awarded first goal of the night at 13:32 in the first period. Warriors tie the game with less than a minute left in the period to put the score at 1-1 headed into the second period. Right out of the gate we see Tyler Green give the Rhinos their second goal of the night at 3:45 into the period, followed by Davin Duckworth at just over seven minutes. The Rhinos enjoy a comfy 3-1 lead before the Warriors begin their counterattack as Drew Sutton & William Brenner tie up the game once more at 3-3 before the second period is out. This momentum would carry into the third periiod as Owen Carlile gives Oklahoma a temporary 4-3 lead at just over six minutes. Unfortunately for the warriors this would be their last goal of the night as the Rhinos' Jussi Malmi ties the game yet again and Camden Bajzer takes the lead with just under three minutes left to go in regulation time. The Rhinos would take game 1 over the Warriors 5-4.
