January 23, 2015 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Tulsa Revolution News Release
A new look Tulsa Revolution team traveled to St. Louis, Friday night, but with many new players on the roster, the Revolution had a difficult time handling the experienced Ambush squad. St. Louis defeated Tulsa, 11-5, in Major Arena Soccer League action, at The Family Arena, in St. Charles, MO.
The Ambush (4-9) scored first at 4:43 of the first quarter, but Tulsa (1-11) quickly answered with a goal by Clovis Malekani to tie the game. However, St. Louis went on a four goal run and never looked back. The Ambush lead Tulsa 5-1 at halftime.
In the third quarter, it looked as if Tulsa was going to mount a comeback. Two goals by Justin Hershey and a goal by Oscar Rivadavia cut the St. Louis lead to 6-4. Before the end of the third quarter, goals by Corey Adamson and Richard Schmermund extended the Ambush lead to 8-4.
After three quarters, Tulsa made a goalkeeper change and replaced Richard Nolasco with Habib Zaylaa.
In the fourth quarter, Lucas Almeida scored for Tulsa, but it wasn't enough as the Ambush knocked in three more goals and walked away with the win.
Due to complications with moving the teams artificial turf to the Pavilion, Tulsa's home game on Saturday vs. Chicago Mustangs will be played at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO, at 1:05 p.m.
