Revolution at St. Louis Friday Night

January 23, 2015 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Tulsa Revolution News Release

For the first time this season, the Tulsa Revolution and St. Louis Ambush will square off in a Major Arena Soccer League match, Friday evening, 7:35 p.m. CST at the Family Arena in St. Charles, MO. The match can be viewed via live stream from GoLiveSportsCast.com at this link: http://golivesportscast.com/2015/01/tulsa-revolution-face-st-louis-jan23/

St. Louis enters the match with a record of 3-9, and in fifth place in the MASL Central Division. Tulsa is 1-10 and in sixth place in the Central Division.

There may be some confusion over the fact that in the early 1990s there was a pro indoor soccer franchise in Tulsa that was nicknamed The Ambush, and that team was sold to a group in St. Louis, however, that team folded and this current version of the St. Louis Ambush is a different organization that carried over the defunct team's nickname.

This has been a week full of movement for the Tulsa Revolution, with the firing of head coach David Yates, and assistant coach Alex Miranda promoted to interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Tulsa has also traded veteran forward Michael Poneys to Oxford City FC of Texas for a player to be named.

The Revolution is also preparing to move into a new home arena for their home game Saturday night against Chicago. The Expo Square Pavilion (on the Tulsa County Fair Grounds) will be the new home for the Revolution. Saturday's home match will begin at 7:05 p.m.
