Republic FC to Play San Jose Earthquakes on March 5

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (February 26, 2014) - Sacramento Republic FC announced today a second preseason match has been added to its schedule providing two opportunities for fans in Northern California to watch the team before their 2014 Inaugural USL PRO Season. The club will play San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) on March 5 at Cal State Stanislaus and March 16 versus the UC Davis Men's Soccer at UC Davis. A limited number of tickets are available for fans to both friendlies.

The March 5 friendly or exhibition match will be the first opportunity for Republic FC to play in front of a Northern California audience and against its MLS-affiliate, San Jose Earthquakes. Kickoff is 7 p.m. PST at Cal State Stanislaus' Warrior Field in Turlock, Calif. The exhibition is being hosted by the recently announced San Jose Earthquakes U-23 PDL team, in partnership with the city of Turlock. Tickets for the exhibition match will be on sale at the gate on the day of the game for $25. Advanced purchase will also be available in the City of Turlock's Recreation Office at 144 S. Broadway on business days between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT. Republic FC is holding a block of tickets on a first-come first-serve basis for season ticket holders and supporter club members at $25 each. Fans interested in purchasing tickets prior to game day are encouraged to contact Republic FC at tickets@sacrepublicfc.com or (916) 307-6100 as soon as possible.

UC Davis Men's Soccer will host Republic FC on March 16. Kickoff is 4:00 p.m. PST at Aggie Soccer Field in Davis, Calif. A limited number of tickets are on sale through the UC Davis Athletic Department. Students as well as fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time since the exhibition is expected to sell out.

The preseason exhibitions between San Jose Earthquakes and UC Davis Men's Soccer will be the only matches open to the public in Northern California. Republic FC will travel to Southern California this week for exhibitions against UC Santa Barbara and Ventura County Fusion (PDL).
