Rent One Park to Host National Pro Fastpitch's Chicago Bandits

MARION, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners are pleased to announce that Rent One Park will host the National Pro FastPitch's 2011 Champions, Chicago Bandits on Tuesday, June 5th. The defending champion Bandits will take on the Collinsville Extreme in a pre-season game beginning at 7:05 pm. "We are excited about the opportunity to showcase the Bandits and National Pro FastPitch in Southern Illinois. The Miners have a great operation and the playing field is terrific. We are looking forward to our players working with the kids during the youth clinic,' said Bandits General Manager Aaron Moore. "It should be a great day of softball for all."
The day will begin with The Bandits conducting a clinic for youth softball players from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Registration for the clinic is $50 per player.
Tickets for the game will be available at the Rent One Park box office for $7.00. Bandit players will sign autographs for all the fans immediately following the game.
The NPF Champion Bandits are led by outfielder Vicky Galindo, infielder Tammy Williams, thirdbaseman Alisa Goler and thirdbaseman Amber Patton. Logo onto www.chicagobandits.com to see their full roster.
"We had a lot of fan interest last year for the USSSA Pride - NPF Diamonds series and believe this was a great opportunity to bring the NPF back to Rent One Park," Miners Executive Vice President and COO Erik Haag said.
