Today's Game: The Reno Aces enter Monday night's contest riding a two-game winning streak. Albert Suarez will take the mound tonight for the Aces looking for his first win of the season. Yesterday, Kevin Cron extended his RBI streak to four games with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first inning. Reno has won four consecutive games against El Paso and is 5-5 on the season.

About Last Night: Mother's Day 2018 couldn't have gone better for the Reno Aces, defeating the El Paso Chihuahuas 5-4. Clay Buchholz made his second start of the season for Reno, finishing with 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER and 4 strikeouts. The Aces offense was led by Christian Walker and Jack Reinheimer. Both players finished with multi-hit games and Walker went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Catcher Anthony Recker's two-run home run in the bottom of the 7th inning finished the Reno scoring outburst and solidified the victory.

On the Move: The Aces all-time saves leader Jimmie Sherfy was recalled by the Arizona Diamondbacks before yesterday's game this join the team in Phoenix. Sherfy has appeared in 78 games for the Aces in his career (10th most all-time) and has recorded 39 saves (most all-time). The University of Oregon alum made his Major League debut last season on August 20, 2017. In 10.2 IP Sherfy has not allowed an earned run in the Major Leagues.

Players of the Week: The Pacific Coast League honored two players as Players of the Week for the week of May 7-13 - Daniel Vogelbach - Tacoma Rainiers and Justin DeFratus of the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Vogelbach posted MiLB bests in extra-base hits (9) and total bases (31), while DeFratus twirled the first nine-inning complete game shutout of the #PCL season

Texas Cookin': A few Aces players have really stood out when playing against the El Paso Chihuahuas. Albeit just two games, Christian Walker is 5-for-7 (.714) with two runs and two RBI against the Texans. Socrates Brito boasts a .314 batting average in 10 games (11-for-35) and has recorded three doubles. Anthony Recker is 7-for-15 with four home runs.

Road Trip Looming: The Aces have just two more games slated this homestand (today and tomorrow against El Paso) before hitting the road for a 13-day road trip (Albuquerque/Fresno/Salt Lake). Death By Longball: The El Paso Chihuahuas are second in the Pacific Coast League with 61 home runs. Trailing only the Salt Lake Bees, El Paso has hit 14 home runs against Reno pitching in 10 games played. Franmil Reyes leads the team with 7 total home runs against the Aces. As a team, El Paso enters tonight's contest with a .234 average against.
