ROME, Ga. â The Rome Renegades win big tonight with a victory over conference leaders, the Miami Morays. The Renegades dominated the ball game with a final score of 70 to 32. "We played with extreme intensity, it is what we've been waiting for," said head coach David Humphreys.
Passing for a total of 198 yards the Renegades offense played tough. Bartik went 9 for 12, and Gales received 5 passes for a total of 72 yards. Renegades rushing leader was newcomer Perry Tisdale. Tisdale had 3 touchdowns and a total of 44 yards.
The Renegades defense was just as tough holding Miami to only 2 of 11 third down conversions and 2 of 8 forth-down conversions. Maxey had 2 interceptions and a recovered fumble for a 40 yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Renegades kicker, Tracy had yet another great game going 8 of 9 in extra points and two field goals including a 41yarder.
The Renegades head out of town this weekend to play the Cincinnati Marshals. Be sure to tune into Q-102 for all the Renegades play by play action. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.
