
Renegades sign All-American Terel Toomer

ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades continue to prepare for the 2006 AIFL season by signing 6-2, 320 pound, defensive lineman Terel Toomer. Toomer was a 2001 Junior College All-American at Middle Georgia before transferring to Valdosta State. While at Valdosta State Toomer was voted 2003 Gulf South Conference Newcomer of the Year. In 2004 he was named to the first team All-Gulf South Conference and also named a NCAA Division II All-American while helping Valdosta State University win the NCAA Division II National Championship. Terel is originally from Sylvester, GA.
