Rome Renegades News Release

ROME, Ga. - The Renegade family gathered in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday afternoon to pay their respects to teammate and family member Joe Killins, who passed away early last Friday morning. Head Coach David Humphreys spoke at the service. Humphreys spoke about the day early last season when Joe came in to the office and looked him straight in the eye and asked "Coach, are we your guys?" "What a question I thought, from that moment Joe became a team leader" Humphreys said. "Joe had set very lofty goals for both himself and the team for the upcoming season, goals that I will make sure we keep", added Humphreys. With the church being standing room only it was clear to see that Joe had an impact on so many people. The Renegades organization offer deepest sympathy to Joe's fiancé, his two children and the rest of his friends and family.
