Huntington Heroes News Release
Huntington, WV - The new turf for Huntington Heroes In Door football arrived on Wednesday February 1. 13 rolls, 15' by 80' and weighing 1280 pounds each were unloaded using a folk lift provided by Jefferds Corporation. Because of the size and weight of this new generation turf a special carpet pole was provided by M H Equipment of Cross Lanes to help with the unloading.
Heroes players and staff will install the playing surface at the Field House on Saturday, February 4th starting at noon. Anyone interested may stop by the Field House to watch the transformation.
The Heroes will begin play on Saturday March 11th at the Veterans Memorial Field House. game time is 7PM. Season and group tickets are on sell now. Individual game tickets well go on sell the week of February 20th.
Dance team tryouts will take place at the Field House on Saturday February 11th at 10AM. The Heroes are looking for energetic girls at least 18 years of age to dance, cheer and help with game day promotions at all Heroes home games. For further information call the Heroes office at 304 781 6800.
