Renegades Release 2010 Schedule

FISHKILL, NY (Dec. 7, 2009) - The Hudson Valley Renegades, Short-Season A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, today unveiled their 2010 schedule. The NYPL Opening Day is set for June 18th but the Renegades will kick off their home schedule on Monday, June 21 vs. the division rival Staten Island Yankees.

The 2010 season is sure to bring excitement to any Renegades fan as the team's first homestand of the season offers a two-game series against the 2009 NYPL Champions, the Staten Island Yankees (Yankees). Following the Yankees series the Renegades partake in a home-road-home series vs. Wally Backman and the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets).

"I want to take this moment and thank the fans for making the Renegades one of only six teams in Minor League Baseball to set a single-season attendance record in 2009," said General Manager Eben Yager. "Let's roll the excitement from the 2009 season right over into the 2010 season and show everyone why the Renegades are one of the best teams in Minor League Baseball."

The 2010 season will boast 38 home games with nine homestands of two games or more and ten fireworks shows. The Renegades will host five Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday games along with six Thursday, Friday and Saturday games. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. for home games except for the following; Sunday games will be at 5:05 p.m., and the first homestand (June 21 - 23) will feature start times of 6:35 p.m.

This season the Renegades will host two six-game homestands, July 14th - 19 th and August 7th - 12th. During the first six-game stint the Renegades will take on the Williamsport Crosscutters (Phillies) for the three games and the Oneonta Tigers (Tigers) for the last three games. The final six-game affair of the season is split into two three game series vs. the Jamestown Jammers (Marlins) and the Vermont Lake Monsters (Nationals).
