ROME , Ga. - Marcus Brady threw for 314 yards - best in the American Indoor Football League this season, as the Rome Renegades pounded the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers 76-31 to avenge their only loss of the season Friday night.
Brady had eight touchdowns - matching a league-high - to help Rome improve to 5-1. The Vipers slipped to 3-3 with the second straight loss.
It was a 28-24 game before the Renegades scored twice in the minute of the first half to build a 42-24 lead.
The Vipers closed to 42-31, but Rome scored the final 34 points.
Gerald Gales had three of Brady's touchdown tosses and finished with six catches for 103 yards. The Renegade defense forced four interceptions.
Garvin Graves had 12 catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns for the Vipers.
