Renegades April 7 Game will Kick-off Child Abuse Prevention Month

ROME, Ga. - For the second year in a row the Rome Renegades will again kick-off Child Abuse Prevention Month. Helping to "tackle" the child abuse problem in Rome and Floyd County, the Renegades second home game on Friday, April 7 will support the month long community campaign of Child Abuse Prevention.

446 substantiated cases of child abuse occurred in Floyd County in 2005. With such alarming statistics, this next Renegades home game will be geared toward helping increase community awareness of this issue. Renegades players, cheerleaders and staff will be wearing blue ribbon stickers stating, "There's no excuse for child abuse". The game's event line-up will also include special guests and activities to help promote the Committee on Child Abuse Prevention's efforts. Following Friday night's game pinwheels representing each abused child in Floyd County will be displayed in the front lawn at the Law Enforcement Center.

Join the Renegades in helping to tackle this issue- Friday night, April 7. Doors open at 6 p.m., pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m., kick-off is at 7 p.m. Come early, the 1st 500 fans will receive a FREE Richie the Renegade Bobble Head courtesy of Riverside Auto Group.
