Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO - The forecast calls for more Reign.

Needing a win to force a Game 7 in their inaugural playoff series against the Stockton Thunder, the Reign jumped out to a 4-0 lead and held on for a 4-3 victory before 2,983 on Tuesday at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Jeff Zatkoff stopped 29 shots, Jon Rheault scored twice, and Tim Kraus and Brad Mehalko netted one goal apiece for the Reign.

The fateful conclusion to the series is set for 7 tonight at the Bank.

Reign coach Karl Taylor predicted that Game 6 would be his team's "best game of the season."

For 45 minutes it may have been. That - and some scrappy play as Stockton strived to score late - was enough.

"We've had to play from behind in the games we've lost," Rheault said. "When you have that feeling that you could go home, you dig deep and make your stand."
