Seattle Reign FC News Release
TACOMA, WASH. - Reign FC has signed Canadian international Rebecca Quinn, the club announced today. Quinn joins from Paris FC in the French Division 1 Féminine.
"Rebecca is a player who we think will fit out system well," Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski said. "She has a knowledge of our league from last year and her versatility means she can help us in a lot of ways."
Quinn became the highest-drafted Canadian in NWSL history when the Washington Spirit selected her with the third overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. She played 1,385 minutes across 17 appearances for Washington in 2018.
Quinn was transferred by the Spirit to Paris FC prior to the start of the 2019 NWSL season.
Quinn played her collegiate soccer for Duke. As a senior in 2017, she was named the ACC Midfielder of the Year, was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and was named to both the All-ACC First Team and the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America.
The Toronto native made her debut with the Canadian senior national team in 2014 and helped it win the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics. The midfielder recently returned from the Women's World Cup, where she made three substitute appearances, including their Round of 16 loss to Sweden.
Reign FC returns home for its World Cup Homecoming Match on Sunday, July 28 against the Chicago Red Stars at 1:00 p.m. PT.
