RefEDGE Joins USL Preferred Supplier Program
Published on April 25, 2018 under United Soccer League Championship (USL) News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - The United Soccer Leagues, LLC, today announced a partnership with RefEDGE to make RefEDGE PRO the Official Vanishing Referee Spray for all related properties, including the United Soccer League, USL's Division III, the Premier Development League and the Super Y League. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"In the USL, a critical component of our mission is to equip all members of the competition with the tools necessary to be successful and ensure that a high level of professionalism is omnipresent," said Gordon Bengtson, USL's Vice President of Competition & Technical Development. "It is clear that RefEDGE delivers that to the officials who work in the USL by helping control the players and speed up play. We are proud to have our clubs supply RefEDGE products to each center referee for every match in the 2018 USL season."
The U.S.-made RefEDGE PRO is the only spray on the market with the Internationally Patent-Pending Stand-and-Spray delivery that allows the referee to stand upright and still make a clean line on the field. RefEDGE PRO was designed so referees can control the right amount of spray for the right situation and allows the referee to vary the dwell time of the line, with less distraction for the players. Paired with their fast and easy GRIPCAGE holster, their products are game-changers.
"We are pleased to further our partnership with the USL and be a part of the upcoming seasons," said RefEDGE Co-Founder Jason Record. "We are thankful for the overwhelming approval and support that the USL teams have given us over the last couple years. We hope to do more for every part of the organization as we continue our exciting growth. The USL is a valued partner."
Over the next five years, the USL will oversee the expansion of an estimated 30-40 new franchises at the second and third divisions of professional soccer, creating numerous opportunities for potential suppliers and vendors to support this growth.
Through its Preferred Supplier Program, the USL will connect suppliers with both new franchise owners and existing USL clubs looking to deliver the best possible experience for fans. Preferred suppliers must meet the USL's strict quality standards. These are "Best in Class" companies that provide services and products to professional franchises and stadium developers. The USL is currently in discussions with suppliers that support stadium development, as well as the buildout of team front offices and operations.
