
Reese and White returning to Richmond

The Roosters announced today that outfielders Mike Reese and Kevin White will be returning to the team for the 2005 season.
Mike Reese, a graduate of Rollins College in Florida, hit .319 while playing in 90 games. Reese was selected as a member of the Frontier League Eastern Division All-Star Team and finished the season with 32 stolen bases, the most in the division. He compiled 42 RBI and had 4 homeruns.
Kevin White, from Spartanburg, South Carolina, joined the Roosters in 2004 after completing his career at Presbyterian College. White played 72 games and hit .322 with 11 homeruns and 37 RBI. He was named to the 2004 All-League Team and was selected as the Frontier League "Rookie of the Year".
"We are extremely excited about the return of Mike and Kevin" said Roosters General Manager Deanna Beaman, "they are the nucleus of our team for 2005 and we hope to build a much improved team around them." Richmond finished 43-53 in 2004, 5th place in the Eastern Division.
The Roosters will begin the 11th season in the twelve team, independent Frontier League. The 2005 season will consist of a 96 game schedule between May and September.
