
RedHawks Set to Open Season Tomorrow Night

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks will open their 14th Northern League season on Friday night against the Gary SouthShore RailCats at 7:02 p.m. at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, and Manager Doug Simunic will start the year with a 21-man roster.
The RedHawks skipper will have the following players in uniform for Friday's game:
PITCHERS: RHP Garry Bakker; RHP Tyler Chambliss; LHP Broc Coffman; RHP Nick Fellman; LHP Scott Fogelson; RHP Josh Giles, RHP Yosandy Ibanez; LHP Scott Koerber; RHP Matt Mossey; LHP Adam Rowe; RHP Billy Weitzman
CATCHERS: C Kyle Johnson; C Alan Rick
INFIELDERS: 2B Carlo Cota; 3B Yurendell (SHER-en-dell) DeCaster; SS Zach Penprase; 1B Randall Simon
OUTFIELDERS: CF Nic Jackson; LF Justin Justice; RF Jeremiah Piepkorn; OF/C Kole Zimmerman
In addition, INF Ruben Salazar will start the season on the Inactive List while he acquires his work visa in Venezuela.
Weekend Pitching Rotation
Friday: Gary-LHP Tony Cogan vs. FM-LHP Broc Coffman
Saturday: Gary-RHP Chris Jones vs. FM-RHP Garry Bakker
Sunday: Gary-TBA vs. FM-RHP Billy Weitzman
The RedHawks have set a full weekend of promotions for fans. On Friday night, there will be Post-Game Fireworks courtesy of Dr. Harvey and Dr. Danel. Saturday night, all fans will receive a 2009 Magnetic Schedule. Sunday is the RedHawks "Cheers to the Volunteers" Flood-Fighter Appreciation Day.
