OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS signed American defensive back Shamarko Thomas, the club announced today.
American defensive back, Shamarko Thomas
Thomas played college football at Syracuse. During his college career, he started 43 games, recording 263 tackles, two interceptions and four sacks. As a senior in 2012, he was a first-team All-Big East Conference selection.
Thomas got drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Thomas has also been a member of the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, New York Guardians, and DC Defenders. He played a total of 66 games in the NFL, recording 64 defensive tackles.
