RedBlacks' Jeremiah Johnson Gets Honours for Performance

OTTAWA-GATINEAU - Jeremiah Johnson, the REDBLACKS' international running back who helped the Ottawa REDBLACKS to the first win by an Ottawa Canadian Football League team in Vancouver since 1990, has been honoured for an outstanding performance.

The second-year veteran has been named one of the three Shaw CFL Top Performers for Week 12.

Johnson gained 100 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns as the REDBLACKS downed the BC Lions 31-18 at BC Place in Vancouver on Sunday, September 13.

Johnson, a native of Los Angeles, leads the CFL with eight touchdowns.

The REDBLACKS return to practice on Tuesday, September 15 at TD Place. Practice begins at 3 p.m. and will end at approximately 4:15 p.m.

The next REDBLACKS game is on Saturday, August 19 in Regina against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Kick-off is at 9 p.m., Ottawa time.

The REDBLACKS' next home game at TD Place is Saturday, September 26 against the Toronto Argonauts. The game is sold out.
