May 15, 2023 - United Soccer League One (USL1)
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC News Release
The Red Wolves are back on the road for the second of three matches against One Knoxville SC this season. The first meeting between the clubs this season ended in a comeback 2-1 victory for Chattanooga at CHI Memorial Stadium with goals from Paoli and Varela. Knoxville will host the final match as well on Saturday, July 22 at Regal Stadium.
Chattanooga enters the game coming off of a loss to South Georgia Tormenta FC on Friday, May 5th and a bye week. They will be without several key offensive pieces with Andrew Paoli unavailable due to an ankle injury and the continued absence of Christian Enriquez, while defender Manuel Madrid is also questionable for the match with a quad injury. The arrival of Ropapa Mensah has added an offensive spark to the Red Wolves' frontline, but more production will be expected from players such as Felipe Liborio, Jr. and Nico Cardona to fill in for Paoli/Enriquez and Madrid, respectively.
The Red Wolves return to CHI Memorial Stadium on Saturday, My 20th to face Union Omaha for the first time this season. Fans can also enjoy a pre-match Beer Fest and sample beers from up to 15 local, regional, and national breweries from 6:00 p.m. until kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
