CAL RIPKEN JR AND BILL RIPKEN MAKE RETURN VISIT TO ROCHESTER Former Red Wing and Oriole Cal Ripken, Jr. and his brother Bill Ripken will sign copies of their new Random House book, "Play Baseball The Ripken Way: The Complete Illustrated Guide to the Fundamentals," before the Tues. PLEASE NOTE THESE SPECIAL DETAILS FOR THE APRIL 13 EVENT:
Gates will open at 4:45 pm. The book signing will take place regardless of weather conditions, and regardless of whether the game is played that night. Fans will need to show their April 13 game ticket for entry into the stadium.
Cal and Bill Ripken will sign from 5:00 pm to 6:15 p.m., and then take a 30-minute break for pre-game ceremonies, before returning to sign more copies from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Books must be purchased at the game on April 13, at the front of the line near the autograph area, for $28 (includes tax). Accepted forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Cash or Check. No discounts, coupons or Diamond Dollars will be accepted. Fans are encouraged to pay with cash to make the line move more quickly.
Each fan is allowed ONE signature for each copy of PLAY BASEBALL THE RIPKEN WAY that he/she purchases. Each person will be able to purchase a maximum of three books. Autographs will not be personalized.
The Ripkens will not be able to autograph any item other than the book "Play Baseball The Ripken Way."
Standing in line does not guarantee an autograph.
Wednesday, April 14 - 12:35 pm vs. Pawtucket Democrat and Chronicle Wings Wednesday ... Additional Parking Available - One block from the ballpark, at the corner of Oak and Brown Streets for $5 ... Kemps/Red Wings Express - Free transportation to and from the ballpark for this special afternoon game. The Express will start at the Genesee Crossroads Garage and work its way east around the City of Rochester, making stops at the East End Garage (corner of Main St. and Chestnut St.), Midtown Garage (Broad St. behind Midtown Plaza - Gate 2), and the South Ave. Garage (corner of Broad St. and South Ave.) before making its way to Frontier Field. The Red Wings Express will have three buses en route, making stops at each location approximately every five minutes.
