The Rochester Red Wings continued their 2011 spring training schedule Tuesday, losing to the Baltimore Orioles Triple-A affiliate Norfolk Tides 6-5. With today's loss the Red Wings spring training record moves to 6-4-1.
Outfielder Dustin Martin led the Red Wings 14-hit attack, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Red Wings starter RHP Eric Hacker pitched well allowing just two hits while striking out four in 5.0 scoreless innings of work.
The Red Wings continue their 15-game exhibition schedule tomorrow with a 1:05 game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A affiliate Durham Bulls in Port Charlotte, FL.
The Red Wings open the 2011 season vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox on Thursday, April 7 at 7:05 p.m. at McCoy Stadium. The Red Wings open their home schedule Saturday, April 9 with a 4:05 p.m. vs. the Scranton/W-B Yankees at Frontier Field.
