Red Wings Call on Conner

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday recalled right wing Chris Conner from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

A native of Livonia, Mich., Conner leads the Griffins in scoring with 23 points (7-16 - 23) in 20 games. The 27-year-old winger has recorded a team-high seven multipoint games this season, including four three-point games. He currently ranks sixth in overall AHL scoring.

Conner has appeared in 139 NHL games, totaling 40 points (16-24 - 40). He spent the majority of the 2010-11 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, tallying 16 points (7-9 - 16) in 60 regular season contests and adding one goal in seven postseason games.
