
Red Stars Trim Active Roster To 24

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Chicago Red Stars and teams from across the board in Women's Professional Soccer have announced their active 24-player preseason roster.
The Red Stars made one more cut, releasing goalkeeper Erin Kane. Brazilian midfielder Formiga has not arrived to camp because she is awaiting visa clearance. Chicago will announce its official roster (18 players plus four optional development players) on April 1.
The Red Stars continue their preseason schedule when they face the University of South Florida at 6:30 p.m. CT Wednesday in Tampa, Fla. The team is coming off a 2-1 loss to the Washington Freedom on Friday in Vero Beach, Fla.
