
Red Stars Players at Storm Game Saturday

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (Feb. 25, 2009) - Meet two players from the new Chicago Red Stars of Women's Pro Soccer this Saturday when the Chicago Storm host the Milwaukee Wave at the Sears Centre.
Kickoff of the Xtreme Soccer League game is at 6 p.m. Natalie Spilger and a player to be named will participate in the first ball kick ceremony and then sign autographs on the concourse at halftime.
Spilger was the second pick in the third round of the 2009 WPS draft. She started four seasons for Stanford and was second-team All-West Region as a defender. Spilger also earned three caps with the U.S. U-21 national team.
"We're excited to help welcome the Chicago Red Stars to the soccer community," said Matt Schroeder, director of public and media relations for the Chicago Storm. "The community focus of Women's Pro Soccer aligns with the XSL's mission and we look forward to a strong relationship."
