Red Sox beat Ottawa Fatcats

In Brantford, Jason Gotwalt?s bases loaded walk scored the winning run in the seventh inning as the Brantford Red Sox downed the Ottawa Fatcats 8-4.

Gotwalt?s walk was followed by Bryon Bell?s double, his second hit of the game, scoring three more runs. Hyung Cho also added two hits and Lee Delfino had a solo home run to round out Brantford?s eight hit attack.

Brantford starter Marc-Andre Major went five innings, allowing all four Ottawa runs on five hits and one walk. He struckout 10 before being relieved by Brian Speck who went two innings to pick up the win. Speck only gave up one walk and struckout three. Reliever Stefan Strecker allowed one hit in two innings to pick up the save.

Ottawa starter Danny Desclouds went six innings, giving up two runs, one earned on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Reliever Tyler Durward suffered the loss, giving up three runs on two hits and one walk.

Chris Latimer had two hits and two runs scored for the Fatcats.
