Sporting Kansas City will look to keep an eight-game unbeaten run in MLS play alive this week as the club hosts two matches at state-of-the-art LIVESTRONG Sporting Park this week. The defending MLS Cup champion Colorado Rapids will visit at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6th and three days later, Sporting Kansas City welcomes Chivas USA at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, July 9th.

Fans who purchase tickets to Wednesday's match against the Colorado Rapids, presented by THECOOLTV, will also receive a complimentary ticket to the 2011 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match between Sporting Kansas City and the Richmond Kickers (USL PRO) on Tuesday, July 12th at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Sporting Kansas City is coming off a 2-1 win at Portland on Saturday and can match the club's second-longest unbeaten run in team history with a positive result on Wednesday against a Rapids opponent that first started the streak with a 1-1 draw in the two teams previous meeting on May 28th. Sporting Kansas City, 5-2-2 against the Western Conference in 2011, will then take on Chivas USA who they defeated 3-2 in the season opener behind two goals from Designated Player Omar Bravo on his MLS debut against the sister club of Chivas Guadalajara, where he starred prior to arriving in KC.
