Daytona Tortugas News Release

If you've been a longtime reader of this newsletter, or if you've visited the ballpark in the past couple years, you know the Daytona Cubs are supporters of The American Red Cross. This morning we received a message of help once again from the ARC.

It seems just a couple weeks ago we urged fans to donate blood for game tickets because you never know when the next disaster will hit. Last week it did:

The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund is dangerously low at this time, because of hundreds of costly disasters over the last several months, including this month's nearly 400 tornadoes that devastated many families' lives across the U.S. This rash of tornadoes has prompted the most simultaneous American Red Cross disaster relief operations since the September 11 attacks.

With hurricane season soon approaching, the Disaster Relief Fund could easily be wiped out by a single hurricane! The Red Cross urgently needs your support now, to help us meet this crisis and provide vital emergency relief for disaster victims.

Right now, Target Corporation is offering to match your donation to the Disaster Relief Fund. This means that every Disaster Relief Fund dollar you give will be doubled, until total gifts reach $100,000. A $75 gift doubles to $150. A $150 gift is actually worth $300. Double your dollars today!

Help the victims of these tornadoes and thousands of other disasters across the country each year by your gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
