Recent Draft Pick Haralds Egle Commits to Vermont

MUSKEGON, Michigan (May 10th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that Forward Haralds Egle has committed to play his college hockey for the University of Vermont Catamounts out of the Hockey East Association following the conclusion of his junior hockey career.

Egle, the Liepaje, Latvia native, was the Lumberjacks' second pick in the 2013 USHL Phase Two Draft that recently took place on May 7th in which he was chosen in the first round at 8th overall.

This past season, Egle played with the Portland Junior Pirates out of the Eastern Junior Hockey League and tallied 48 points (22 goals and 26 goals) in 39 games played. Prior to playing for Portland, Egle spent the 2011-12 season with the Green Mountain Glades of the Empire Junior Hockey League and recorded 48 points (18 goals and 30 assists) in 34 games played.

Egle also recently participated in the 2013 IIHF Under-18 World Championship that took place from April 18th to 28th in Sochi, Russia for his native country of Latvia and finished with two goals in six games played.

Season ticket packages for the 2013-14 season are still on sale for the low price of $225 for adults and $150 for children ages 3-12 for the 30 home games provided next season.
