MILWAUKEE (Nov. 17, 2009) - Enjoy live entertainment, a silent auction and dancing in the Milwaukee Athletic Club's Grand Ballroom at "A Reason for Hope," a fund-raiser for the Wave of Hope organization, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.
The Wave of Hope's mission is to introduce and advance the sport of soccer and its physical wellness, educational and social benefits to low-income children in Wisconsin. Wave of Hope also supports other existing health and educational programs that work to help improve the lives of children in need in Wisconsin.
Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are $150 per person or $1,200 for a table of 10. Proceeds benefit the Making Waves program and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Making Waves is the Milwaukee Wave's three-part educational outreach, which last year directly connected with more than 20,000 area youth at more than 70 schools.
"The 'Reason for Hope' event will help the Milwaukee Wave of Hope continue and expand on many great programs that make a difference in the lives of kids in Wisconsin," said Nancy Lindenberg, president of Wave of Hope. "Planning an event like 'A Reason for Hope' and knowing the good it will bring to children makes me feel good at the end of the day. I thank everyone in advance for their help and support in making this event a success."
The event begins at 7 p.m. with food stations, drinks, live entertainment and silent auction. Nancy Lindenberg and other dignitaries speak at 9 p.m., and dancing begins at 9:45 p.m.
