HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (15-5-2, 47 points, 1 West) travels to Oklahoma this weekend for a Saturday, August 11th matchup with Oklahoma City Energy FC at 6:30 p.m. MT. Interim Head Coach Jamison Olave will look to lead the current Western Conference leaders to a third consecutive victory when the club visits Taft Stadium on Saturday.

Coming off a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Reno 1868 FC on August 8th, the Monarchs aim to take its current run of form on the road to face a surging OKC side. After going behind early in the match against Reno, the Monarchs responded by scoring two unanswered goals as MF Charlie Adams and FW Maikel Chang each netted goals to help the team regain its six-point lead atop the Western Conference.

In 2017, the Monarchs and OKC first faced off in early-July with the Monarchs claiming a 3-1 victory at Rio Tinto Stadium. The return leg in early-August saw the Monarchs fall 0-2 to Energy FC. The Monarchs will look to even the series on Saturday with the Monarchs currently trailing the all-time series with a 2-0-3 record. Taft Stadium - the site of Saturday's contest - remains a venue where the Monarchs have yet to claim victory in its four-year history.
