
Reading Express Picks Up Season First Win Against the Cedar Rapids Titans

The Reading Express defeated the Cedar Rapids Titans 51-47 to claim its first win of the season Saturday night leaving the Titans their fifth straight loss at Savage 61 Dodge Fields at the Sovereign Center.
The Express' Keith Stokes led the team in receptions going six for 134 yards, one for a 45 yard touchdown reception and consistently putting the Express in scoring position. To top it off, Stokes scored 6 points after touchdowns as well as a 30 yard field goal.
Offensively, the Express outgained the Titans 327 to 255, and on the other side of the ball the Express had 3 sacks by Brandon Perry, Mike Dell, and Brandon Wick. Michael Thompson snagged one of two interceptions on the night and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown.
The Titans Andre Crenshaw kept the game close scoring five of the seven touchdowns on the night and Antuan Bloom was the leading receiver going four for 77 yards.
Express Mike Dell made his offensive debut scoring two rushing touchdowns for the team, and also made seven tackles to contribute defensively.
White was the leading rusher today for the Express, sneaking into the end zone for one touchdown and going 15 for 63 yards. For the Titans, Kenneth Black had 6 rushes for 35 yards.
