Reading Express News Release
Reading, Pa. (October 25, 2010) - Caboose, the lovable mascot of the Reading Express indoor professional football team, announced today that he is running for Senate in a bid to push the fledgling Dog Party's agenda. The popular mascot could also be setting himself up for a presidential run in 2012.
Caboose already has a long track record of public service in the Reading and Berks County area. He is a regular at community events, always dazzling youth with his playful manner. Now, Caboose is hoping to parlay that popularity into a successful effort for the Senate seat.
On the national scene, Caboose headlines the new Dog Party ticket. He is quickly setting the standard by which dogs nationwide will tackle politics in years to come.
In a written statement, Caboose expressed his sincere interest in bringing real hope and change to man's best friend.
"Under my administration, I promise to put fire hydrants on every corner," wrote Caboose. "We're going to bury bones in every city park, and open watering holes on every block. New leash laws will help free my kind from the human bureaucracy that currently limits our freedom. Yes, under my watch, No Dog will be Left Behind. If this is the kind of nation you want, then vote Caboose for Senate."
Campaign Stop: Caboose will make his first major campaign stop in Hamburg, Pa., on October 30 for the popular King Frost Parade. With an expected attendance of over 50,000, the largest fall extravaganza parade in the East provides the perfect opportunity for Caboose to get his message out to voters. Caboose will be joined by his biggest supporters - the Reading Express and Berks . Fire . Water Restorations - in the Caboose for Senate float.
"I'm so grateful to have the support of two great organizations," noted Caboose. "We're all confident that the King Frost Parade is a great way to deliver our message. My team, as well as the entire Dog Party, will give this great nation with a fresh approach to government."
Vote to Win: Reading and Berks County residents are especially encouraged to vote Caboose for Senate. Text "Caboose" to #366948 to cast your vote. All voters will be entered to WIN 2011 Reading Express Season Tickets. Polls close November 2, so get your vote in today!
