Reading Express Add Two More Big Pieces

Reading, Pa. (September 28, 2010) - Size does matter. It especially matters in the trenches on the football field. Experience doesn't hurt, either. With their two latest signings the Reading Express have added both. Veteran linemen Chris Nunn and Marques Ogden are the latest player additions to the Express as they gear up for their first season of competition in the Indoor Football League.
Nunn returns for his fourth season as the anchor of the Express offensive line. At 6'10" and 365 pounds, there is no mistaking the Glenville (WV) State University product. Nunn has made a home both at left guard on game day and in Reading during the off-season working for TRHMG Sports Medicine.
"Chris has been a proven professional on and off the field for us," said Express Head Coach Chris Thompson. "He has been a First Team All-Pro for us and a huge asset to our organization. He has also been an integral part of protecting the blind side for our quarterbacks the last three years. It's great to have our anchor back on the offensive line."
Ogden a veteran on both the offensive and defensive side of the line of scrimmage returns for his second season with Express. A sixth round draft choice of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 6'6", 280 pound Howard University product played both defensive end and nose guard in Reading during the 2010 season.
"Marques is an experienced warrior that has been around the likes of the NFL and indoor arena leagues for many years'" said Thompson. "We had the joy of playing against him for many years and after last year playing for us for the first time, we now can say he is a part of the Express family. We all know that many games are won and lost in the trenches, and these two guys will help us to win that battle. We are extremely excited to have both of these professionals back for 2011."
Reading Express Indoor Professional Football began play in 2006 in the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. In five seasons, the team has amassed an overall record of 64-20 with four playoff appearances, two conference titles and the 2009 AIFA National Championship. In 2011, Reading will begin play as a new member of the Indoor Football League.
