Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Rochester, NY. The defending ABA Champion Rochester RazorSharks will host a Future Sharks Youth Basketball Camp the week of August 21-25 at Bishop Kearney High School as Head Coach Rod Baker and RazorSharks players teach the fundamentals of basketball to boys and girls ages 8-17. The full day sessions run from 9am to 4pm with early and late care available for parents who work from 730am to 530pm.
Under the leadership of Coach Baker, all athletes will receive the best possible instruction to develop them into better basketball players and citizens. The RazorSharks staff will instruct on basic principles such as hard work, working together as a team, learning the skills of the game and having fun.
Fundamentals include offensive skills, passing, defensive skills, rebounding, ball-handling, dribbling, shooting and overall team play. An award ceremony will be held at the last session Friday and a full player report card will be given to each athlete. Lunches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the camp and coolers will be provided for campers who bring their own lunch.
The one-week session for the Future Sharks Basketball Camp is $200 per player with a $100 deposit due with camp application. Camp applications can be obtained by calling the RazorSharks office at 585 232 9190 or visiting www.rochesterrazorsharks.com or www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
