Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Rochester RazorSharks: The RazorSharks are led by Forward James "Mook" Reaves who led the team in scoring (18.4) and rebounding (7.6) during the regular season. The team ended their inaugural season winning 18 out of their last 19 games. All-Star Chris Carrawell, who averaged 17.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in 25 games this season briefly left the team to explore other opportunities in France, but will return to the team for their playoff run.
Newark Express: The Express are coached by former NBA legend Daryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins and finished the season one game under .500 with a 14-16 record. The RazorSharks won both previous meetings this season between the teams, including a 117-98 road victory in Newark on February 17.
Radio: WHTK AM-1280 will carry all RazorSharks playoff games live, with Gene Battaglia handling the play-by-play and former Syracuse University great Roosevelt Bouie as the color analyst.
ABA Great Eight: The ABA Championship Playoffs - The Great Eight - will be held at The Blue Cross Arena, the home of the Rochester RazorSharks, on Wednesday, March 22, Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26. The event will feature the winners of this weekend's second round playoff games in a three day, single elimination tournament.
