RazorSharks and Teddy Geiger on New Year's Eve

(Rochester, New York)....Rock star Teddy Geiger, the Rochester RazorSharks professional basketball team, Preferred Care, The Blue Cross Arena (SMG) and the City of Rochester are teaming up to present "The Preferred Care New Year's Eve Basket-BALL" at The Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester on New Year's Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2006.

The defending American Basketball Association champions will host the Quebec City Kebekwa at 5:05 p.m. on New Year's Eve afternoon, with Teddy Geiger scheduled to perform at approximately 8:15 p.m. after the basketball game. Families will be able to enjoy the Rochester downtown fireworks after the basketball-concert double-header, a first in Rochester sports history at The Blue Cross Arena.

"New Year's Eve will feature two of the hottest and up and coming entertainment acts in the City of Rochester", said RazorSharks owner and general manager Orest Hrywnak. "This is truly a family event for people of all ages, and the RazorSharks are proud to host Teddy Geiger in his first-ever concert at The Blue Cross Arena. What a way to bring in the New Year - the RazorSharks are happy to be a part of bringing people to downtown Rochester for the New Year's Eve celebration.

Fans can purchase one ticket for both events at The Blue Cross Arena that day, good for both the basketball game and the concert. Tickets are $16.50 and $26.50 (court side seating) and are available at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office, on the internet at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 585.232.1900.

Fans will be able to stay in The Blue Cross Arena during the 45-minute changeover from basketball court to concert venue, as Preferred Care, Cold Rush and the RazorSharks offer family fun entertainment, games and music in the upper and lower atriums of the arena.

A musician and singer/songwriter, 18 year-old Teddy Geiger is a native of the Rochester suburb of Pittsford, New York, and currently has a hit album on the Columbia record label, Underage Thinking, which peaked at #8 in The Billboard 200 album chart. Teddy is currently on his own tour in the United States performing hit songs such as "For You I Will (Confidence)" and "These Walls", which is receiving heavy airplay on Top 40 radio stations.

Teddy has also toured with Hilary Duff, serving as the opening act on her 2005 summer tour and "For You I Will (Confidence)" was nominated for "Best Love Song" in the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. He also starred on the television show Love Monkey on CBS and VH1.

The RazorSharks, who captured the ABA Championship Cup in their inaugural season last year, are currently 4-1 in the ABA's Northeast Division and will host the Montreal Matrix at The Blue Cross Arena on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:05 p.m.
