Corpus Christi IceRays News Release

Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi Rayz have already traded for six players and signed four in this off-season, however the changes to the Rayz don't stop on the ice. The Rayz recently added three new members to their front office staff. Corpus Christi has hired Carlos Solis as the team's new Director of Ticket Sales, Erika Flick as Community Relations/Promotions Coordinator and Justin Hart as an Account Executive.

In an effort to reconnect with the community of Corpus Christi and plan for a largely productive season in a new arena, the Rayz hired three young standouts – all of whom bring varied experience with them to Corpus Christi. Rayz General Manager, Larry Linde said he was excited about what the trio can bring to the organization. "Carlos, Erika and Justin are all qualified, hard working people who fit into our front office game plan," Linde said. "I think the city will take to them instantly and they will make an immediate positive impact on the team. I'm thrilled to be adding them to an already excellent staff."

Solis, 24, comes to the Rayz from another South Texas CHL team, the Laredo Bucks. With the Bucks since their inception two seasons ago, Solis served as a Group Sales Manager and Account Executive for a team that averaged more than 6,500 fans a game over the past two years. Prior to working for the Bucks, Carlos attended the University of Houston where he played football. The Laredo, TX native is fluent in Spanish and will oversee the Rayz ticket department for the upcoming season as the team moves from the 3,500 seat Memorial Coliseum to the brand new, 8000 plus seat American Bank Center.

Flick, 22, has worked in professional hockey for the past six years. She began her career in 1998 as an intern with the Indianapolis Ice, and remained with the team from the IHL to the CHL. In the summer of 2003, Flick also worked with the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets' marketing department. Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Flick graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Sports Marketing Management and a minor in Business. With the Rayz, she will be involved in community relations, promotions and coordinating public events.

Hart, 22, also makes his way to Corpus Christi via Indiana. Born and raised in South Bend, Hart too received his degree in Sports Marketing Management from Indiana University with a minor in Business. This will be Justin's fourth year in professional sports. He spent last season with the Ice as an Account Executive – the same position he will fill with the Rayz – and helped the team average fifth in the league in attendance. Prior to that, he worked in Game Operations with the Indiana Blast Professional Soccer Team, as well as working in professional baseball.

The Rayz also announced that Patty Perkins has been promoted to Business Manager.

The Corpus Christi Rayz are in preparation for their seventh professional hockey season in Corpus Christi. Make plans to be a part of all the excitement as the Rayz bring a new look to Corpus Christi for the 2004-05 CHL season. Season tickets and corporate packages are currently available.
