Visalia Rawhide News Release
VISALIA-After breaking a 62-year-old attendance record last year, the Visalia Rawhide needed just one more season to break it again.
With 108,601 official fans this season, the Rawhide surpassed last season's all-time mark of 105,405. They broke it with a home game to spare, setting the new mark on Wednesday in their game against the Bakersfield Blaze.
"It's been a memorable second season in this renovated ballpark, and we're thrilled that we've set another new benchmark," said Rawhide President Tom Seidler. "Our goal is to make the stadium and the experience better each year, and the fans have responded to that. We can't thank them enough for their great support, and we look forward to drawing even more people from around Tulare and Kings Counties next year."
The Rawhide finish the 2010 regular season on the road with a 4-game series against the San Jose Giants. Visalia is 2 games ahead of Modesto for the Wild Card playoff spot. If the Rawhide qualify for the playoffs, Game 1 of the Wild Card round would be played at Recreation Ballpark on Wednesday, September 8th.
