
Rattlers give Gladiators a Deadly Snake Bite

March 23, 2007- Gladiators record falls to 1-3 as the Rattlers defeat Las Vegas in Arizona 68-41. The win for Arizona which is just their first win of the season gives them a 1-3 record on the season as well. The Rattlers defense capitalized with three interceptions, one forced fumble and four sacks. Penalties also plagued the Gladiators costing them 56 yards.
Gladiators quarterback Shaun King completed 15 of 24 passes for 217 yards, with 3 interceptions before being replaced late in the 3rd quarter by back up quarterback Brian Jones. Jones completed 5 of 10 passes for 63 yards and one touchdown in the final quarter of the game.
Wide Receiver Joe Douglass had a stand out night returning 2 punts for 73 yards and 7 receptions for 69 yards. WR/DB Thabiti Davis led the Gladiators in receptions with 101 yards and two touchdowns.
Arizona's QB Sherdrick Bonner completed 20 of 25 of his passes for 250 yards and 6 touchdowns earning him Offensive Player of the game. Receiver Atnaf Harris for Arizona led the receivers with 6 receptions for 88 yards and WR Kevin Mckenzie, who was named Ironman of the game ended the night with 3 touchdown receptions and 69 yards. FB/LB Bo Kelly who last week became the AFL's All-Time leading rusher, moved up in the ranks in another category tonight with 80 career rushing touchdowns, which tied Bob McMillian for 3rd in the AFL.
