
Rattlers activate Mike Mollot and release Will Driscoll

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse announced today that midfielder Mike Mollot has been placed on the 23-man active roster. In a related move, Rochester released attackman Will Driscoll.
Mollot played college lacrosse at the University of Maryland from 1999-2003 and was a two-time USILA All-American. The senior captain finished his four-year career with 172 points, making him the 14th all-time leading scorer at Maryland. His 95 career assists also place him ninth on the Maryland all-time list.
In 2003, he was named to the USILA/STX North-South Classic. This season, Mollot tallied 20 goals and added 19 assists for 39 points. He was named to the All-ACC Team for the second year in a row. In 2002, he was an All-ACC Team member and in 2001 he made the ACC All-Tournament Team.
He was the Rochester Rattlers third-round selection (14th overall) in the 2003 MLL College Draft. The 5-11, 190-pound Mollot will wear No. 17 for the Rattlers.
Driscoll played six games with the Rattlers last season and recorded one goal. The Fairport native played college lacrosse at Penn State and led the nation in goals per game in 2002 with 48 in 13 games.
He was Rochester's second round selection (10th overall) in the 2002 MLL College Draft.
Rochester (1-1) returns home on Saturday, June 14th to play the Long Island Lizards at 7:35 p.m. at Bishop Kearney Field. The game will be broadcast on News Talk 950 WROC and SportsJuice.com. The contest is the second of a two-game series against the Lizards. Long Island (2-0) defeated Rochester 16-8 on June 6th.
